I Am The Ruin is a UK solo metal project created by songwriter Jason Cliffe. Its sound sits in the darker edge of modern metalcore — low-tuned guitars, atmospheric tension, melodic scale, aggressive vocals and cinematic production without losing the impact of a real heavy song.

The project moves between psychological pressure, grief, fear, identity, attachment and the parts of ourselves we try to bury. The debut album Inheritance asks one central question: what has life left inside us, and what are we going to do with it?
